Pineapple Upside Down French Toast

This is a great thing to make for Saturday night, put in fridge covered with saran wrap and bake on Sunday morning before you head off to Church.

1/2 stick of butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

10 oz well drain crushed pineapple, reserve 1/4 cup of the juice

2 large eggs

1 cup milk

1/4 cup half and half

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

8 1inch thick slices of bread

(I used a clearance down bread that instead of slicing I tore in pieces)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

In a saucepan melt butter, add brown sugar and pineapple. Heat and stir.

In a bowl whisk together the rest of the ingredients.

Lightly grease a 13x9 pan. Pour pineapple mixture in. Top with bread dipped in milk mixture.

Bake for 20 minutes.

  1. Oh my gosh this is sinful. No wonder you eat it before Church. That way you can repent afterward ;D
