Diet Cake, sounds like an oxymoron.
But it is so good!
This is an old Weight Watchers recipe.
Any flavor of boxed cake mix
Any flavor of diet pop (can)
Mix together (cake mix straight from the box, don't add eggs or oil) and bake at 350 in a greased 9x13 pan supposedly per baking instructions on boxed mix, but it seems like my cake was done way before that.
The variations are endless
Diet Moutain Dew + yellow cake mix
Diet root beer + chocolate cake mix
I made chocolate cake mix + diet cherry Pepsi
and topped it off with fat free whip cream and sugar free Hershey's chocolate syrup

ReplyDeletethat sounds pretty simple- may have to give that a go! some of the weight watchers recipes are pretty decent.
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant! I've heard of this cake before (lost 30 pounds through WW 3 years ago) but have yet to try it. It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really interesting - and being able to have cake on a diet just has to be good :)
ReplyDeleteYour cake looks so good and I will have to try your recipe.
ReplyDeleteThank You...
I've heard of this recipe but was skeptical to try it. Now, seeing how moist and delicious the cake looks in your picture, I'm going to try it now. My husband would love the Mt. Dew version.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Is it that easy? I like all the different combos!! Thank you for sharing. ~Prairie Story
